Kansas City Weddings: Jen + Brian = Mr. & Mrs. Zamzow!!!!

I have to first start off my saying…Jen is my twin-y.  🙂  Jen…call me out on this if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the first time you emailed me at like 4am…and I was up…so I emailed back?  It was a long while back, so memory is hazy, but I remember getting an email super late into the night (while I was on a hot editing streak) and debated whether or not to email right back and risk looking like a psycho photographer. hahaha …anyway, apparently I didn’t scare her off…because then we had our first coffee-date..to which we totally got off the topic of photography and found out we both had lime green kitchens and super similar off-the-wall humor.  Then the next time we met, we arrived wearing the same scarves (different colors), same phone (to which she has since moved on), and have unique mouth-talents (I can form a clover-like shape with my tongue and she does one killer “Predator”).  I feel like she’s my sista from anotha motha. 🙂 And I felt slightly unique in that regards, till I discovered she has been a bridesmaid in 17 other weddings.  Yes, 17!!!!  Move over Mary, because “There’s something about JEN”.  There is something about her…so genuine, and light-hearted…humm….maybe this is starting to sound creepy. hahahaha

Ok, enough about me and Jen…can’t leave Brina out of this. 😉  He’s tall, blue-eyed, and has a smashing smile.  And it is argued that he is more “girl” than Jen. hahahahaha (sorry Brian, couldn’t help it).   I could tell from day one that they were a dynamite couple.  Remember the e-session with them?  And I know their friends and family have known this all along and were just waiting for the day they finally finalized things.  To which…that day has now come and gone…and it was a day to remember.

I swear it was too easy.  It was like playing Simon-says with the groomsmen.  “Look Serious-Handsome”…”Now, wave to me”  No pause…they just did as commanded.  Oh how I love obedient men. hahahaha

YEAHHHH!!!!!!

Somebody’s having way to much fun over there. hahahaha

I should also mention that Jen is a pro-non-pro wedding planner.  She had every little detail down!  Which in the beginning, gave me a small fear to how relaxed she would be on the wedding day, with having planned out so much…but as good of a friend as she is to everyone else, all her friends paid it back.  Gotta give some love to Brie for doing and awesome job pulling everything together and keep the ball rollin’.  She was definitely the go-to person of the day.

There were many little surprises around Jen & Brian’s wedding day…but I think the biggest one, everyone can agree, was Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing”, played perfectly by a talented string quartet.

Some just feel compelled to show off their “good side”. 🙂

Quality entertainment on the party bus!

When the slipper fits…

See what I mean…the “Predator”!!!!!  I have been trying and I just can’t compete.

“Heros” guy…where’s the height, man?  You were supposed to be able to fly. hehe

Major love to Boulevard Brewery…that place is AWESOME!!!!

For selfish reasons, my favorite part of the day was the EPIC same-day-edit video, by Jordan & Carrie Berry of Berry Good Video.  Matt and I met Jordan and Carried last year at the Bridal Show and were BLOWN AWAY by their video abilities.  How excited was I to find out that Jen & Brian had chosen them to document their day via video.  Combine my love of bloopers/gag reels in movies with Jen & Brian’s humor-filled nature…I called up Jordan before I shot Jen & Brian’s e-session and told him I had an idea.  Thus, two companies of creative backgrounds collide to make magic.  Well, actually that’s giving me too much credit…he did most of the work.  I took video clips of Jen & Brian during the e-session…not telling them what it would be used for…sent it to Jordan before the wedding…and WALA!  You’ve got to watch the video to see for yourself…the same-day-edit was AMAZING!!!!
