Abe & Jake’s Lawrence | Wedding | Kenna + Tyler

I’ve been sooooooo excited for this wedding…and to show off these images!

I’ve known and photographed Tyler for 12 years.  He is a true gentleman.  When he brought Kenna to the family photo session last fall, it was so obvious…he was the happiest man on Earth.  And on this day…their wedding day…if there is something more than happiest man on Earth, than that is what he was.  The temperature outside was near record breaking heat…the hotel’s AC was broken…the venue’s AC was broken.  Didn’t matter.  You could not slap the smile off his face if you tried.  At one point we were standing in the lobby of a hotel, and hovering around a water cooler, throwing back shots of water…..Tyler says “…I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for her.”  THAT, MY FRIENDS, is the kind of love I crave to photograph.

Because of the heat…Tyler was a smart cookie and decided to bring 2 white shirts so that he had one to change into before the ceremony if he sweated through the first one.  Little did he know that his beautiful Bride was using one of the shirts to wear while getting ready.  He was convinced she was going to get it dirty.

His reaction to her wearing one of his shirts.  But like a good husband….he’d do anything for her. …oh..and that shirt came out unharmed.  Documented PROOF.  🙂Proud PapaRAWRRR!!!!I adore the way he looks at her.  It’s the sweetest thing!B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!!!Well hello handsome“Hello Ma’am…”Did I mention the AC was broken in the hotel AND the venue?  About the only hint of relief was next to the window unit…so that’s where they stood having their pizza lunch.LOOK AT HOW CUTE THEY ALL ARE!!!!!  LOVE!!!!Oh…and someone forgot to tell me that PURE AWESOMENESS was going to occur during the reception.  One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen at a wedding.  Tyler and Kenna performed the EPIC Dirty Dancing scene to PERFECTION!!!!
Besides Tyler and Kenna killing it on the dance floor, just as amazing was their team of dancers!  It was CRAZY AWESOME!The best part!I adore you guys…CONGRATS!

I feel like he already knows sign language…but I do not.  Cool points to the person who can tell me what this gesture in ASL is.  I feel like it looks like the letter “I”.

Remember when you were a kid and would be so excited to find the surprise toy in the bottom of your cereal box?  That’s about the same feeling I have when I go through the images from a newborn session.  There’s ALWAYS at least one of these treasures in every session.

Zamzow | Family | Topeka

Once again…my camera gets to photograph my beloved Zamzows.  I dearly love this couple.  Got to photograph their engagement…then their wedding…and this makes (I think) their 3rd family session.  They got two BEAUTIFUL children…and this time I got even more Zamzows to feed the camera.

It was a hot, and humid summer morning…but we survived…and I gots some fun pictures to tell the tale.

A little behind-the-scenes peak at what parents have to do something to get their children in the shot.  HAHAHAHAHA  …oh and fun fact, though their is not photographic proof…just before this picture, I fell off that bench straight onto my rear.  Woke up the next morning with a nice bruise.  But at least I did it in front of the whole group…got some laughs out of it. HAHAHAHA

Did I mention how much I adore this couple?

…because when you’re trying to get portraits taken, you should definitely have someone do your hair.  BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

A special tribute photo…the adults mimicking the children.  I LOVE IT!!!!

The Coolest group of humans | Family | Parkville English Landing

I’m not good at many things.  I could never win a metal for running…partly because I am not consistent with running practice…and partly because I was not gifted with athletic genetics (It’s all your fault MOM!).  But…if there were a competition of who has the best clients, I’m quite confident I would win.  You might say…”is that fair?  You are not responsible for your clients being great.”  To that I would say, I am responsible for that.  I seek out the best humans I can find.  Those who are true of heart.  Funny.  Wicked sense of humor.  Contagious smiles.    ..then I display them in hopes to attract other wonderful humans just like them.  Either I am really really lucky or my hard work and strategy is paying off.  Need proof?

I present to you this group of fabulous humans.

Westport | Graduate | Sarah

Congratulations to Nurse Sarah!

I personally know how hard…how difficult… and how much dedication it takes to go through the process in any area of the medical field.  This was not easy.  This was a huge accomplishment.  I’m so happy to have met this beautiful chica and help celebrate her new life event.  She’s going to be absolutely awesome!

I’ve only known one person from New Zealand, but that lady is like a super model…and super smart.  Sarah reminded me of her….and I kept telling her I was photographing her like the New Zealand super model she was.  This random guy agreed…came and gave her a high five.  Although he also thought she needed a ukulele.  Not sure he knew his countries.  But he recognized beauty.  🙂

…a little funny…hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil.  This should be a nurse motto.  🙂

Another funny moment…I kept having her look at different objects…and I’d call them men’s names…I did this all throughout the session.  Got her all flirtatious.   Then this guy walked by..and I said “Hey! look at that guy”.  Then I asked him his name.  His name was Matt.  Which is hilarious probably only to me…because of all the guys’ names I’d call out…Matt never came to mind.  HAHAHAHAHA . This guy came over to photobomb.

On to a fabulous career doing good and helping people in need.  I’ve said it before…I’ll say it again…never met a Sarah I didn’t LOVE.
