Tis that “Family Portrait” time of year!
I present another great session with my favorite Eudora folk!

Time flies! I first met Karen when I was in college (I think 2003)…and fell in love with her personality. So happy to have been there for their engagement, wedding, first kid through last kid…and everything in between. Love this family!

The Lady & Gentleman responsible for such awesome people. <3 Karla & David!
These two…sisters & best friends.
Aw yes…and the youngest generation of this family. This is my elite photographer powers at work…I know you are so jealous I know how I corral children so well..jpg)
And then there was…The Fager Family! PS, I would like everyone to notice, their oldest child…Abigail…is SMILING. Yes, yes she is! This girl wouldn’t give me a hint of smile…until Matt came over and started rubbing his butt on me while I was photographing. Apparently that’s how to you get kids to smile. Genius.
…and if you’re wondering…yes…I’m probably having someone’s butt rubbed on me during this shot.
Oh yeah…this is how sisters look before they turn into best friends.
I’ve heard that at this age, they’re more like Frienemies. 🙂.jpg)

Saved these two images for last…because this session was especially neat…taken the day before the Royals won the WORLD SERIES!!!! How cool to have a fun family picture to commemorate such a historical event! GO ROYALS!.jpg)

Oh the places you’ll go….that book always pops in my mind when I photograph a Senior.
The Harshbargers are big fans of all kinds of Art forms. They love the Folly Theater…so we were able to commemorate that love by incorporating their personal season ticket balcony seats into this year’s holiday card. I’m mad at myself for not photographing the final product to show off, but it was stunning…complete with gold-lined envelopes. SO COOL!.jpg)

Daughters just shouldn’t be allowed to be this beautiful. Poor Dad. 😉.jpg)
Had a little fun in the dressing rooms.
…and this is one of my favorite pictures of this family. A little bit planned…a little bit improvised…and a little bit of luck. Lance had thought ahead of time that maybe it would be neat to digitally create a poster of their family in the outdoor Folly Upcoming Ad box. I thought it would be neat if it was done in a way that wasn’t so obvious…like it would maybe take a 2nd glance for someone to notice….and then I thought…hum, I wonder if I can pull off a hand-held slow-shutter-speed picture, when it’s bright and sunny outside, of them walking along the sidewalk? The answer is hell yes!
Oh boy….we’ve done it again. Addicted even more. How are we going to top next year’s card?.jpg)

I especially love this picture. Every year that I’ve photographed this lovely family, I always take a group picture of them on their front steps. I think it’s neat to have one picture consistent and watch how a family has grown by looking at pictures over the years.
I’m a little obsessed with Charlie. I always feel like he’s giving me “the look”..jpg)

I always get so excited to photograph this family every year…not just because they are some of the most awesome people out there…but because we always do something super fun and out of the ordinary for a Holiday Card portrait. This year I can’t take credit for the idea…this was their brilliance! And one of the most perfect brilliance of all! And MESSY! But it was kid tested and parents approved.
This might be Golden’s happiest day of life so far.
Every. Kid’s. Dream come true.
…it’s also what drives parents to keep wine and liquor handy.
