Kansas City | Greek Wedding | Koula + Brad

What do you get when you put a GORGEOUS GREEK GODDESS and a AMBERCROMBIE-MODEL-LOOKIN’ GUY together?  Koula and Brad in μεγαλείο (which means Greatness in Greek)!!!!  I was so pumped up for this wedding!  I’ve gotten to know Koula and Brad a bit from their engagement session, and they’ve expressed how important their family is…and they didn’t exaggerate.  I was completely inspired with how connected and fun their family is when they’re all together.

And we must mention the guest of honor….LUCKY!!!!!!

What do you do when you realize that the Groom’s pants have ripped apart at the crotch area?  You recruit the best man, who is a military trained MacGyver type, to fix the problem.  This guy was amazing…

And even finished it off flawlessly with a pink lighter.  See what I mean?! MacGyver!!!!   🙂

Ok…so I adored Brad before…but this has got to the cherry on top.  As a surprise gift to Koula..he had a friend deliver a sweet love note and the most sparkly pair of diamond earrings I’ve ever seen.  So sparkly they could blind in sunlight.  Koula is a lucky lady.

Heeeelllllloooooo Handsome!

Stunning!  Koula is a classic beauty, in and out.

The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Christian Church is so beautiful…my camera ate up the intricate details and all the colors of the sanctuary   Ok…I’ve taken a ton of images that I am extremely fond of …but this one of my favorites of all time.  It is so simple and yet so intense with awesomeness.  <3

And this has to also be on my short list of favorites…this was about 5-6 images put together to create a super high quality panoramic of Koula’s family (of course the blog compressed image file doesn’t do it justice).  This is the kind of image that is timeless.

Oh…and what’s this?  The audio deliciousness and dance floor crowd that can only be produced by DJ Fernando.  I have done a few weddings now with DJ Fernando….let me tell you why I love him so…

…because of this!  He pulled off a killer Harlem Shake!!!!  🙂  …and seriously…he is one of the very very best in the industry.  Never lets me down with a kickin’ party.

Liberty | Magazine | CASA

These four ladies do incredible work and are a part of the Clay County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).  I had no idea what this organization was before being asked to photograph this group, but I learned quickly just how important their work is….check it out HERE.

Lees Summit | Magazine | Historians

You know how some men have a “man-cave” with a big screen TV, stereo system, maybe a pool table….well Dan Hadley, a local historian, has a slightly different version for his “man-cave”.  This is his version…and it definitely keeps your eyes busy.  It’s like a museum!  Plus, I had to include this first image to show off his ridiculous good painting.  In this image, there are three (one is unfinished) life-sized hand sketched and painted cutouts of men of the Civil War.  So neat!

Kansas City | Magazine | KCPT

How cool is this?!  KCPT‘s president and CEO, Kliff Kuehl, is known as a visionarie and I was happy to learn he also has a great sensor of humor and personality.  KCPT has had late fame for bringing Downton Abby to our TVs, but there is so much more going on over there.  Kliff is from Texas, but in talking to him, he has fallen in love with Kansas City.  This is a great place to live.
