Kansas City | Senior | Lily

Introducing Lily…class of 2021!

Lily can best be described as a breath of fresh air.  Photographing her was like much needed fun and therapy.  We could not have found better locations either!  This was photosession magic!

This first one reminded me of Colorado’s Garden of The Gods…earth and sky!

Yup….you saw that correctly.  Wrestling!  Beauty, brains, and brawn!!!!

This one reminds me of a classic black and white Hollywood actress portrait!  So moody!

Some wrestling action!

A funny blooper…I call it “Victory!”

As if we weren’t having enough photo luck with randomly finding school buses and abandoned lockers….we were surprised with American flags!!!!  Unplanned but 110% loved! THANK YOU JOHN!!!

Another random goodness….Thank you to John at Cool Vintage Watches for letting us take some neat portraits in his lovely store!

Little thank you to Parkville Police for not giving me a ticket.  I could have photographed Lily ALL day…which was evident by literally running out of daylight during our session.  I tried to be most effective with time during twilight by parking my car along a road and putting my hazards on.  Pretty sure it was illegal but we would only be a few minutes and there was plenty of room and visibility for cars to go around.  But of course, just as we were finishing up the last couple shots…a police vehicle comes up right behind my car.  I expected them to give me a ticket, but they only stayed a minute or so before moving on.  I wonder if it had anything to do with this last picture.

Lily…remember me if you decide to pursue professional modeling!   You definitely have what it takes.  If I ever photograph you again, I will give myself double the daylight time!  Haha!

Congratulations on your future graduation!!!!!

One Fine Day

Getting dangerously close to a decade of photographing Nate & Kirsten…and I still can’t get enough of them and their growing household.  I recently discovered Amelia will need to learn to share her parents.  She’s gonna be a big sister.  Can’t wait!!!!Nate & Kirsten tend to find themselves among swings when I’m around with my camera.  So…when in Rome…. 🙂
She’s SO FLUFFY!!!!Had to include this one.  Caught Amelia admiring her beautiful parents, in love, on their wedding day….and on a swing!  And this…ladies and gentlemen…is what childhood looks like.  Perfectly!  🙂

Kansas City | Engagement | Annette + Todd

Annette + Todd

This duo was a delight!  Seriously…I can’t get over how obsessed they are with each other.  They are that cute couple that you always want to be.  The story of how they began is truly a love story.  They met online…from out of state…and fell in love with each other before they even saw each other in person.  Todd is the sweetest…and he use to and still takes pictures of places he’s been, with unique ways of saying “Hey You” (more examples of this to come in their wedding blog post).  So we begin with “Hey You”.

Annette and I were fast friends.  Naturally fell into laughter.  I have no idea what this image was all about…but it still makes me laugh when I look at it.  Her reaction to something I’ve said.  HAHAHA . That’s probably what most people’s reaction to me.The first time they met in person, it was at the Plaza….I would say it was love at first sight, but they had already fallen hard for each other even before that. He was here, waiting, with this sign and message, Hey You.
