Kansas City | Engagement | Jen + Bob

What do you get with Jen + Bob + Gabby + 2 cute dogs + parent chaperones?

Photoawesomeness  🙂

We had a great time playing around Loose Park…and amazingly enough, it wasn’t crazy crowded like usual.  Lovely day, lovely location, lovely future-Mr&Mrs…makes for a happy photographer.

GET ‘EM GIRLS!!!  Hahaha  I love watching this.  Huge smiles!

I’m in love with this tree.  Makes me want to relive 8-years-old and climb it to the top.  (PS, I spy with my eye a sneaky little girl)

CUTENESS ALERT!!!  Such a pretty little girl!

Check back for more pictures soon!

Kansas City | Weddings | Jen + Joe

Saturday….was….AHHHHmazing!   Jen and Joe are such an incredible couple that words cannot express the amount of joy and celebration that was wrapped up in their whole day….and I had the pleasure of being along for the ride.  The cherry on top…so was Sarah of Sarah Apple Photography.  She was my little photog-ninja. 🙂

We started our photo adventure off at Roca Salon & Spa over in Westport.  That salon was designed to flirt with a camera.  Such a fabulous space…full of intrigue and detail…and of course, my beautiful Bride Jen.

This was a first for me….tool of choice:  Toothbrush.   It actually is a brilliant idea…and very effective to grab all those delicate hairs and get them to do what you want.

Awesome location #2:  The President Hotel

Ladies.  Yes.  You have permission to be jealous.

Joe smelled delicious…and when I mentioned it, he told me that he’s had this bottle of “Vurt” for like 10 years (I think that’s right, Joe…confirm?).  That has to be a record.

I love these kids.  They were hilarious!  Little bodies of entertainment.

Awesome location #3:  St. John’s United Methodist Church (which I haven’t shot at since 2004…it’s just a beautiful as I remember!)

Right before this image of Jen heading outside to see her Groom for the first time that day, I looked her up and down, evaluated her gorgeousness and told her: LOOK AT YOU!  I WANT TO MARRY YOU!  🙂  Jen looked absolutely exquisite.

The secret audience.

I spy with my eye a couple chimpers. hahahahaha

I have to say…I think this is the most simply beautiful wedding cake I’ve ever ever seen.  I can’t wrap my brain around the talent and attention to detail that it took to make this…it was almost too pretty to eat.  But it was completely eatable.  So cool!

And if you notice…..Awesome location #4:  The Kauffman Performing Arts Center

This was the third wedding celebration ever to grace this building.  We can say we helped break it in. 🙂

Oh yah…the handy work of the ridiculously skilled Good Earth Floral Design.  They never cease to impress me.

How cute is this?!?!  Towards the end of the evening, they served cookie and milk shooters.  So yummy in my tummy, so yummy so yummy!!!!

Hot off a New York flight…the music master:  Neil!  Extremely creative with fusing music and song selection.  This was Neil’s first time in the Kansas City…and one of the first things he nervously asked me was something like “So, as a Kansas City native, tell me how likely there will a tornado today.”  HAHAHAHA  Oh those New  Yorkers.  So sheltered from Mother Nature.

And this picture was a MUST for the blog.  This is how people react to me on a wedding day. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA  Sarah had some crazy captures all day long…this was perfect timing.  Funny thing is, I can’t remember what we were talking about…but I must have said something terrifying. 🙂

Introducing….MR. & MRS. FIERRO!!!!!!   (And the crowd goes WILD!)

Oh the dancing.  Soooo sooo many super dance shots…but alas, this blog post is already ridiculously long…so I tease with my favorite one.

There has never been more sentimental and well used travel sized bottles of condiments.  It all started in the guy’s hotel room (how all good stories start).  Someone suggested Jen and Joe go together like Ketchup and Mustard….and then suggested that I photograph the bottles as their metaphoric relationship.  Thus began the journey of these two bottles that we took along all throughout the day and photographed everywhere Jen & Joe went.  Although it wasn’t until we photographed them at the church that someone noticed …that’s not mustard. HAHAHAHAHA  The yellow label threw us all off.  So….well…more people like Mayonnaise better than mustard anyway.  It even says on the label “Bring out the Best”.  Jen & Joe go together more like Ketchup and Mayonnaise. That’s what we originally MEANT to say. 🙂

Thank you Jen & Joe…and to all their family and friends who rocked the entire day!  It was a good goooood day.

Kansas City | Senior | Vicky

Beautiful.  Sweet.  and TALL!  Meet Vicky.  She’s this amazing exchange student from South Korea that rocked my camera yesterday!  I really thought it was the ridiculously-gravity-defying shoes she wore at one point, but no…she really is tall.  5’9″ (or somethings like 5’8.75″…we girls like to round up. haha)

She truly was my life-size Barbie for the day….my personal model. 🙂

This is one of the coolest pair of toes I’ve ever seen!  That nail polish needs to be in my collection!
