Terrific TUESDAY!!! YEAH! Shonna and Sheena (twins) + boyfriends + brother + dad = FANTASTIC SESSION

I had to include this one because I noticed while running through the images on the computer that I had a sneaky little moth in my shot. I thought I’d give him a little spotlight.

This really was a multi-purpose session. We sectioned off part of the session for Dylan, who is a senior this year.

This is Sheena & Shonna. The last time I shot them they were Bridesmaids at Elizabeth & Justin’s wedding, last October. Good to see them again!

So, I in my car about 10 minutes from our location when the OCEAN dumped over and I nearly pulled over due to low visibility. UG! I picked up my phone to call and cancel, but being so close I figured the least I could do was meet in person. To my shock and awe, that cute little country girl said “Let’s do this!”. It was a full on rain for about 95% of our session (we had a quick 10 minute break), but we were determined for greatness. I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous, but I CANNOT be happier with the results. Oh my gosh! WOW!

I love my camera, I love my camera, I love my camera…but sometimes great gain comes with great risk. I had a super high-dollar plastic grocery sack (maybe from HyVee…I reuse whenever possible) that I cleverly made into a camera-raincoat, and braved the storm for an awesome scene! This shot was worth a few drops on my precious Canon. You can even see the rain coming down!

She gets her sense of humor from her mama… I would know! 🙂

Class of 2010…Also, Arkansas style…

An add-on to the last blog post, we did Marky’s senior portraits at the same time as Lacey & Kelly’s engagement portraits. We loaded up two cars full of folk and went all around…getting all the cool spots we could find…and we found a TON! Arkansas is definitely not short on unique scenery.

First stop…the bus stop… well, not exactly. Something Arkansas has a lot of is broken down old cars, trucks, tubs, toilets…you name it, and it’s probably sitting in someone’s backyard around the corner. haha

Couldn’t resist throwing in Marky’s cute GF in some shots.

Ok…so that last one was enough to make him dizzy…

And they question my vision!

No need to adjust your monitor…you are seeing correctly. He looks HILARIOUS in that outfit! hahahahaha He’s got school spirit! GO BADGERS!

The whole shoot was sooooooo much fun and ALL the pictures ROCK! I wanted to share some of the bloopers.

This one’s really not a so much a blooper though, just an awesome shot of Aaron (another brother-in-law). Couldn’t resist.

I saw this and made everyone turn around to go back and get a shot. It’s funny because on the other side of this sign is a bunch of police cars and someone getting arrested. Always entertainment down there.

Much more fun to come. I have another video I’d like to share just as soon as I have a little extra time to finish it. …hum…it might be a while… 🙂

Lacey & Kelly workin’ it Arkansas Style

Have I ever mentioned what an awesome family I married into? AND it just keeps expanding! My favorite sister-in-law (ok…maybe my only sister-in-law…hehe) is getting hitched next June. She tells me “I just want a couple pictures…” NONSENSE! No such thing! Crazy girl! After all these years, you’d think she’d know me better than “just a couple pictures”. We went and had a fabulous session on Saturday when we came to Arkansas for a visit.

Shall we start off with a little humor…yes, yes we shall…

Aren’t they adorable!

Like most of my sessions, clothing changes are improvised. Kelly helps his future wife look amazing for their engagement pics.

These pictures were actually taken in the rain. This is our whole group…and I’m sporting a new way to use the ever-popular shootsac. hahaha

I think Lacey makeup must taste good. Kelly couldn’t get enough. 🙂

This is their signature shot. They are Star Wars Lego Xbox fans…so we wanted to give a great big xbox smile.

There are sooooooooooooo oooooooooo many good images from this session it was super hard to narrow down the teasers. As always we had a blast in Arkansas….although coming home was yet another “experience”. Did I mention my kids get motion sickness quite easily? Oh..I have pictures to come of that. WAHAHAHA

Excellent Eudoran fun time…

It feels like forever since I’ve gotten to photograph these guys again. I haven’t even seen them since July 4th! Anyway, we had a super-amazing-fabulous session yesterday. I had such a hard time picking favorites for the “teasers” but I justified the amount by the fact it was two families…sort of like two sessions worth. 🙂

Kristin’s hubby, Jake, has done some traveling lately…and sadly out of town during our session…so I wanted to give him a special picture to remember his hottie at home waiting for him.

Mommy is ALWAYS watching… creep, eh? hahahaha

Matt thinks he can show Karen up.

In addition to being a horse rider…she’s an expert in Turtle riding, too.

…And Jason is soo good Duck riding…he’s such a show off…

Poor Duck.

I had to put this one in here…Abigail is ferocious. Look at how she’s head-butting Christian to claim her slide. hehehehe

After our session, we all were rewarded with a scrumdidalicious lunch of their chili, Applesauce cake (OH SOOOO GOOD!), and some homemade cinnamon rolls (I do bake on occasion). I have to say it was a very very good day.
