Best Western of Olathe

Last week I had the opportunity to do some more product photography, this time for the Best Western of Olathe. The Best Western of Olathe is located right off of I-35 and 151st Street and is a beautiful property. I took a tour of the hotel a couple weeks ago and was taken back from how cool it was inside. The entire hotel, from the bedrooms to the breakfast area, has a stylish contemporary look with artistic lighting and a relaxing atmosphere. I actually want to just go have a little weekend getaway there just to kick back.

Congrats to Kim on a new future grandbaby!

Last week went to my Dad and Step-Mom’s house to visit for a grand dinner…in celebration of having my step-bro, Matt (I know, confusing having multiple Matt’s in the same family) coming to town for a visit. He and his girlfriend are expecting a baby, I think in December. This is a shot of Kim and Matt…precious. 🙂

And this is a sight I NEVER EVER EVER saw growing up…so I had to catch the glorious moment. That’s right… My Dad. Yellow Rubber Gloves. Dish work. Unbelievable. haha My sisters are gonna get a kick out of this one, for sure!

And this is a quick shot of Kim’s published work: Leap of Faith. She’s a talented and passionate romantic/action/suspense writer…who has finally pushed her writing out of the way long enough to go get one of her many many many novels published.

Niki Turns 5!!!!

Niki just turned 5 and I felt like such a horrible mother that I accidentally made her yearly checkup on her birthday. Poor girl got 5 shots on her 5th birthday. Isn’t that for ironic…

I thought I’d share this clip we took a few days later. She is tall and skinny for her age, but she can stick her belly out like she’s 8 months pregnant. It’s so funny. It’s a little exaggerated looking with certain clothing…this being on of them. Pleats are unforgiving.

World of Fatigue….That place is HUGE!

This is pretty far behind. We went to World’s of Fun with Ride & Slide passes a couple weeks ago, and it was lots of fun…but HOLY CHICKEN, that place is huge. I really thought we’d be ridin’ and rollin’ ALL day and ALL night…but we checked out of there before 8p. SO Tired! Has anyone else been there recently and thought it was WAY too loud? We don’t go but every other year or so, but this was the first time I’ve ever been to World’s of Fun and was thoroughly annoyed with how loudly they played their music over the intercoms. And I was excited to end our day there with a calm Train ride…but NO. The World’s of Fun attendant was BLABBING loudly and un-understandably the entire ride. We all thought that level or annoying loudness from the adventure park was new to this year. It was fun anyway though. Next time, I’ll be taking earplugs.
