Ozarks Wedding: Lindsay + Andy

With all the crazy Springtime weather the midwest has had lately, I’ve basically been glued to the weather channel and stationed on the sofa with popcorn.  It’s almost comical how unpredictable our area’s weather patterns are.   So, imagine an ear to ear smile across my face as I headed out for Lindsay & Andy’s wedding in the Ozarks.  It was a beautiful RAIN-FREE day!  A little wedding present to them from Mother Nature.  (Thanks MN)

And Lindsay’s killer shoes were a little present to my camera.  Thank you thank you!

Gorgeous!

Lindsay…you are stunning!  Absolutely beautiful inside and out!

Such a fantastic wedding!  Hope the honeymoon gives you extended awesomeness!

Kansas City Engagement: Vanessa + Scott

Oh sweet and sassy goodness….HERE art thou.  Meet Vanessa & Scott.

Finally got to shoot ’em up.  With all the crazy windy rainy weather…we finally landed a day to rock out their engagement session.

Awww…aren’t they sweet….

….and sassy. 🙂   We were playing out our “Who’s line is it anyway?” fantasies.

The Rock

The Smolder

The Captain…

The Captain aftermath, hahahahaha

And then I dreamt of a black n white play of highlight and shadow…

Lookin’ forward to their sweet and sassy wedding in September!

Kansas City Engagement: Jen + Kennie + Bella

Meet Kennie & Jen…Look at how they look at each other lovingly.  hahaha

They are getting hitched on 9-10-11…and they are bringin’ weddings-with-character to a whole new level.  They are both pretty slick with their love of music.  So, how cool are they to have their e-session kick off at the Earwaxx Records store in Gladstone, MO.

We had Bella, their SUPER-CUTE-AND-SASSY daughter, come jump in for round 2 of pictures.  It turned out to be a tad chilly out, but still a great day for outdoor photo-fun.

This is the “bad sport” look.  Can you tell who had the red chips?

On to a little storytime. Bella’s favorite books:  Pirates of the Caribbean….at least for now.  It’s been foretold that she might be growing out of her Johnny Depp crush onto Justin Bieber.

A find day indeed.

Kansas City Senior: Matthew…all grown up

Matthew was one of my very very first subjects back in the day to photograph.  So far back, that I used my old school 35mm Pentax-1000 film camera.  Oh boy, film! I thought it would be neat to find some of those old prints and/or negatives to post on the blog with these (because I think Matt was only 7 yrs old back then), but alas…it is forever lost in the boxes and boxes of disorganized piles of film and prints in the garage.  I spent a good half hour just skimming through them, but didn’t see any signs of them.  🙁  Did I mention I love digital photography?

Anyway, little Matthew is now strong-manly-grown-up Matthew.  I feel so old. haha

JEZZZZ…Buff much?!  🙂

Kansas City Family Portraits: Lacy + Natalynn + Mike =

Hummm…this one is strangely familiar. 🙂

Boy are they getting a workout. hahaha

Apparently Natalynn has mistaken Mike for a jungle-gym.

Any mother of a little girl knows how sentimental this one is…if only dandelions didn’t wilt 5 seconds after being picked, us mommies would have a constant supply of yellow floral arrangements around the house during the warm months.

Yes, this looks like a good place to store them. :))))
