Morning + Sunshine = Playtime

Anyone who’s been over to my home probably knows that…well…you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. I make every attempt to keep the inside nice and lively…but the outside is sorely neglected. It’s on my list of things to do someday…but it just keeps getting pushed back. Anyway, a collection of, well…junk has accumulated in the backyard over the winter. Lucky for me, I have two beautiful, genius children that have managed to find a way to make the yard look even more ghetto-fabulous. They’ve used everything to create a fortress. Oooo, how my neighbors must love me. 🙂

Beware, this next one is a bit hideous….yes, that’s me without makeup and on the bad end of a close-up, wide angle self-taken shot (which is not easy to do with a big fat camera).

This is Niki’s source of super-powers. It’s a very rad silver plastic ring…in the shape of a bow. It suits her.

Belated misc photos of my kiddos…

So…I got a little swamped and overwhelmed with recovering from February weddings that I, of course, neglected adding some pictures of my kiddos.

I know I complain all too much about how much I have to juggle by running a business that is said to be “flexible schedule”. What that really means is…I have to play tetris with everything thing. Unfortunately for me, most everything involving my kids (sports, school, etc…) seems to run around a normal parent’s Mon-Fri, 9a-5p schedule. I feel like I miss out on so much. Hopefully my kids won’t grow up to resent me for that.

Anyway, I just needed to post a couple pictures I took last month at Tate’s 2nd grade play. I went to the day-time rehearsal since I couldn’t make the evening one.

And how cute is this one… Tate is on the right, and the boy all dressed up standing next to him is Cameron (aka: Niki’s future boyfriend, haha!). I think I might have mentioned before that Cameron is probably the sweetest little Romeo EVER!!!!

Ok…and I couldn’t miss out on posting the first jump session on the new trampoline. We had an old one that last fall started bursting springs…so it died. But this one is a foot or two wider and has a MUCH MUCH better enclosure.

Congratulations, Natalie & Eric!

The sun was shining, the temperature was favorable, but…WOW, was it windy. Natalie wore a beautiful, fluffy white wedding gown, …to which I threatened to tie a rope around her waist and use her as a kite. Despite the gusty day, Natalie and Eric had a super-fabulous-most-special-fun day. 🙂

Usually I only do one “fun” ring shot…but there were two really good ideas…to which Matt and I couldn’t decide on. So, I’m putting them both up here. Leave a comment as to which you like better…Matt and I have a bet going….loser does extra chores. (HOPE I WIN!)

I just need to say that Nathan and Wyatt were two extremely cooperative, sweet boys all day! Their mother’s should be proud! Here’s a good one of Wyatt…looking o-so-handsome.

St. Patrick’s Day Picnic

It was a BEAUTIFUL day on St. Pattie’s Day, so we decided to have lunch at a local park on Matt’s lunch break. Oh, the days we remember…

Niki asked her Daddy (not mommy) to hold her princess glove while she went and played on the playground. He decided to try it on for size. What do you think? Lookin good?
