Kyle and Ashley get it on… :)

Today I had a fabulous session with a fellow artist and his fine woman! We have soooo many very unique ideas for their engagement photography, so we are having to break all our ideas into several sessions. Today we dedicated to a semi-normal engagement session. I say semi-normal…because I don’t think Kyle is capable of normal. Neither am I. Made for some awesome photography!

So, I often think I freak out my clients…so this was no different. We were coming back from our session when I screamed, “PULL OVER!” as we were on a curved on ramp to the highway. I’m just glad both Kyle and Ashley are super cool and all about the photos…100% committed. LOVE THEM! Can’t wait to do next week’s session. It will by super different. 😉

Tuckness Family….Again? haha

So, How crazy is it that this is my 7th time photographing this family. In fact, Natalynn was in Lacy’s tummy for our first session. I LOVE IT!!! Tomorrow is Natalynn’s 3rd birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Sharks’s 2009 Pizza Party

This year was Tate’s first time to play basketball…and since there was a lack of volunteer coaches, Matt decided to give it a shot. It really has been amazing to watch these 9 boys go from barely able to dribbling the ball to learning plays and giving it their all. I had a really good time getting to know the players and their families and I really hope we can play all together again next season. I have this little dream that maybe these boys will play together for a long time and I will get to watch them all grow up. (tear) …but that thought just makes me think I’m aging too fast. Ahhhh!
BLOG-20090310_Sharks-BB-Pizza_0070_c

This really is THE neighborhood pizza place. Great pizza, great accommodations for local sports teams and parties, and….
BLOG-20090310_Sharks-BB-Pizza_0045
…they have a BALLOON MAN that comes in on Tuesday evenings. And our party was on a TUESDAY! WAHOOO!

This is one of Niki’s boyfriends…and looking at this picture, I can’t tell if they are having spat or if they’re popping balloons. 🙂

Ok….I thought this was soooooo sweet. All the parents got together and gave Matt a gift card and had the players all sign a thank you page. This was especially fun for me to watch, because he gets soooo embarressed in front of a crowd. Take notice to the bright red patch on his cheek…and the tips of his ears. haha

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Clow!

I was first contacted by Lauren’s mother a couple months ago, explaining she was helping her daughter plan her wedding…since Lauren and her fiance we working hard on fixing up their sail boat, preparing it for their two-year adventure around the world. Yes…you read correct…TWO YEARS, SAILING THE WORLD! WHOA!
Lauren and Dallas are one amazing couple. Definitely MFEO! They have had a very long, and sometimes distant relationship and they have finally sealed the deal and will be taking a 2yr honeymoon. AMAZING!

Thus…the ring shot.

Apart from having conversation over the phone and a brief meeting Tuesday, I didn’t know Lauren and Dallas all that well. I learned quickly. They, and ALL of their friends and family, are 100% genuine and commited. The best way to describe Lauren and Dallas on their wedding day…was undistracted. That really is HUGE…there’s so much to do, things always run late, people are missing, jewelry is misplaced…nothing, I mean NOTHING distracted Lauren and Dallas from having the most sentimental and special wedding day.

This was a shot I snagged right after they had a special moment alone, seeing each other for the first time that day.

I actually didn’t notice these until an hour or so after being at the reception. Lauren and Dallas marked each table with one of their ports during their upcoming adventure. There was one other port, but unfortunately, by the time I got to that table, it was MIA.

This was fun…one last “freeze-your-butt-off” picture. I didn’t notice it at the time, but my husband pointed out today that it apprears the folks inside were peeping at us (thus the hand on the window above Lauren’s knee).

I believe Lauren told me that they leave tomorrow to start their adventure. I wish them the best best, and can’t wait to keep updated on their trip via their website.

Behind on February…Oops.

Ok…As usual, I’ve become well behind on blogging about my kids this month. So, this is a bit old, but my son has reminded me that he’s not seen these pictures on here.

This year, I went shopping for Tate’s school Valentine’s and found the selection to be the most dull and cheapy than any previous year. Maybe it was just the store I was in. So, I decided to give Tate the opportunity to have a home-based craft project. Of course, there was something in it for me too…I got to test out my new ring flash. His valentines this year were photo-valentines, equipped with a unique and different knock-knock joke and bag of goodies. Tate actually had a really good time making them… and as a bonus for mom and dad, it kept him busy ALL evening long. Here’s some of his mug shots.

Here’s one from the school Valentine’s party. Classroom parties are always a ZOO, so I only took one shot before all the kids swarmed me asking to see the picture. haha!

Then we celebrated the birthday boy at home the next day. That kids was hopped up on a sugar rush ALL weekend.

Here’s the barbie jeep my sister gave Niki at Christmas (the one that she and my mom assembled the night before). My neighbor came over and asked “Hey, what’s wrong with your kid? Why is she getting out and pushing her jeep every time she needs to reverse? Haven’t you taught her to use the reverse gear?” …to which I replied, “There is none.” He proceeded to exam the jeep and discovered that my mom and sister flunked their quality control in assembly. It was hidden under the jeep. Not only had we not been able to reverse, she also hadn’t experienced the jeep in High-Drive.
20090206_Kids-1

Once we fixed it up, she was jammin’ to her Barbie radio and peeling out for about two more hours…until the battery was finally out of juice. (Thanks DAVE! You’re the hero for the day!)

On Wednesday, we decided to have a picnic at the Zoo with my friend Sarah Rimel (www.rimelphoto.com) and we brought along the cameras.
This one is her cutie pie. OH MY, how I want to pinch cheeks!
