Talk about Ying/Yang…balance…Libby is energetic, Logan is calm & cool…and when they are together it is harmony. I’ve probably mentioned it before on this blog, but it’s worth mentioning again…I play off of my clients’ personalities. Feed off it…capture it…and then show it. This session was awesome for doing just that…even if it was a workout for Libby. hahahaha

Yup…I love them!

I don’t quite remember what was said…probably because it’s super hard to hear over the roar of the waterfall…but it reminds me of my daughter tattling on her brother for leaving the toilet seat up. hahahaha

I LOVE THIS SHOT! Can you find the hidden good luck in this image?

There’s one last grandbaby on the way, but until then, we needed to give Karla and David (my “other” parents) an updated grandchildren portrait. It was a super lovely Saturday, and to top things off, we got to photograph on an old farm that has been in the family for years. I love sentimental value. 🙂
.jpg)
I cracked up big time when I was going through all the pictures and saw this one! DAVID…you are hilarious!!!!!! 🙂

And now that Karen has popped out a girl…we could give them a “complete” family portrait. It’s crazy to think I’ve known this beautiful family before they were a family.

Does it look like this dog is laughing at me or with me? humm……

Ok, so you gather up and dress up 8 kids…and you’re bound to get some blooper action goin’ on. I was so proud the very moment I capture this special moment. Those who have followed my blog a while, may recognize this same kid with the same finger up his nose last year. hahahahahahaha I’m starting a collection. And Karen, my kids do the same thing. What are we going to do about this?!

How flippin’ CUTE is SHE!!!!??!!!!

I’m obsessed with this dress. Love the colors.

Thank you my wonderful Eudora family! There are sooooo many many more photos that turned out amazing. You made it super hard for me to blog pick. 🙂
Ask any photographer what the best times of day to shoot are and they are going to say right after sunrise and right before sunset….. so here we are…first image is right as the sun is about to peek over the horizon. Did I mention that I’m a night owl? Well, I am…so it took setting my regular alarm, setting Matt’s alarm, and setting my phone alarm (AND Hiding it across the room to force myself out of bed)…and then of course coffee always plays its role. Nevertheless…I still managed to drag my feet that morning (waking at 4:50a), so I made no effort in choosing my clothing, and did absolutely nothing to my hair…and then forgot to at least apply mascara…so, naturally, I looked HOT! Anyway, on to more important things… Andy and Lindsay are engaged!!!!! Of course, THEY are morning folk…so they actually really did look hot. And I bet they didn’t have to hide alarms around their bedroom to do it.
.jpg)
Probably the first thing I noticed about them during our session, is that they give off this playful energy. I can’t wait till their wedding…let the photofun begin!

Poor Andy…he definitely got his taste of my crazy ideas that morning. (evil laugh) WAHAHAHAHAAAA!

This next series is actually the re-match. Andy won the first race…so Lindsay decided to play dirty.

Thank you thank you Lindsay and Andy! Oh what fun awaits us at the wedding! 🙂
Meet Mike and Libby….
.jpg)
…no that’s not Libby. Here’s Libby…
.jpg)
…wait, no…that’s not Libby either. Libby is so much cuter. 🙂 hahaha I couldn’t resist posting the first two of Roscoe and Chloe…stealing Libby’s spotlight. I was crackin’ up when I saw that first one (Roscoe). With the flared nostril, big eyes, and lifted chin, he almost looks like he’s giving me a snooty look.
.jpg)
.jpg)
No Photoshop…Libby is super strong. Last week, Matt and I took the kids to the park…to which in playing around with the kids on the playground, I discovered I no longer had the ability to do the monkey bars. WHAAAAA!!!!?!?!?! Oh my…that was not a good discovery. Watching Libby so easily lift herself up, like it was nooooooo big deal…yea, I came home and did some push ups. …ok ok…maybe pushUP…but I’ll eventually get to pushupS (plural).
.jpg)
I told them, one at a time, stare into my massively large blemish in between my eyebrows. You can tell Mike enjoyed the focal point. hahahahahaha And yes…when I have pimples that large, I will put them to use as focal points for my clients. 🙂 WHEN will I ever not have acne?! Seriously, I’m way into adulthood…shouldn’t there be an end to this facial madness at some point?!
.gif)
So when I asked Libby if they had a Signature Shot idea, she told me about Mike’s marriage proposal. He had wanted to propose while they were on vacation and the ring he got her wasn’t ready in time…so he had a loose diamond in a box (super taped up, if I got the story right) and a yellow twisty tie (to serve as a visual). Total sweetness!!!! So, yes…she agreed to marry Mike with love and a twisty tie.

I love everything about this shot! So funny!
